About Forever Young (www.garyndenise.org)
The Past
On the 16th day of November, in the year 2002, Gary and Denise were married. Unknown to us at the time, we also conceived our first child, Laci, that night. Some months after she was born, while updating Laci's baby book, we came up with the idea to create a web site for Laci where we could document her progress in life and share it with family and friends, as well as the rest of the world. All the photographs of Laci could also be placed there, as well as anything else that could be posted in electronic format. Hence, "Laci's Little Piece of the Internet" was born at http://laci.garyndenise.org.While not exactly trying to get pregnant, neither were we trying not to, and before Laci turned 2 years old, we were expecting a second child. At this point, we were faced with the dilemma of putting up another web site for the new baby, or changing to a new site that would serve both our children. While having separate web sites would allow each one to be unique to the child, it would also require maintaining two web sites, as well as the fact that many photographs and articles would have to be duplicated whenever they affected both children. Therefore, we decide to just have a single web site for the entire family, and to move all of the photographs and articles from Laci's web site to the new one.
The Present
Forever Young, at http://www.garyndenise.org, was then born. While articles about both Laci and Daniel are here, Laci's Journal and Daniel's Diary can be viewed separately. As well, the Photo Albums section has albums for each child (which, in turn, contain other albums) though the same photo can appear in both albums. As well, both parents now have their own "blog" sections to post whatever we want, related to the children or not. Finally, the main (home) page of the web site will always contain the latest articles posted to Laci's Journal or Daniel's Diary, as well as a random photo from the albums, the current age of both children, and a special note if it happens to be the anniversary of some special event in one of our children's life. The Future
Check back often to see what’s new in our family's future. Remember that no matter what year it happens to be, if we look back to our children growing up, we'll stay forever young.Gary Dezern
