OH MY GOD

( Daniel's Diary )
Today Daniel learned a new phrase "Oh My God". This morning as we were driving around in the van, Daniel played his Leapster. A short time later, Daniel began to cry and I asked him what was wrong. Daniel told me "I hurt" and cried some more. As I tried to figure out what was hurting him (while driving), he vomited, and the obvious question was answered. The first words to me uttered by mommy were "OH MY GOD" because I was not expecting that reaction and we were at least 15 minutes away from home. Needless to say we got home as quickly as humanly possible. The rest of that day and the many more to follow, Daniel shared with others the new phrase that he had learned. Any time something happened Daniel would repeat "Oh My God", it was at this point that I was glad that this was the phrase I had uttered; as anything of the four letter word variety would have not been as easy to ignore. Daniel's use of the phrase did cease in repetition as time passed, but I can easily say that we both had a learning experience. Mommy learned that Daniel gets motion sick if he plays a video game while the van is moving and Daniel learned a new phrase. All in all this will not likely be a moment in time that I will easily forget.
